Being immersed in dance and the arts since childhood, Aki has explored the world of street dance and Vogue culture. As of 2012, he has been involved in Pure Funk as a student, crew member and now a scheduled teacher. Recently being inducted into the Kiki House of Luna (Sydney), Aki has made Vogue - a style cultivated in the Harlem ballroom scene in the 1980’s, his passion, developing his abilities and sharing his knowledge with Adelaide, in the hopes of being a catalyst for others to join in the highly stylised dance style.

Aki has solidified his passion for Vogue, making it one of his goals to bring Vogue to Adelaide by engaging in dance community events such as dance battles, performances, workshops and now teaching “Pure Vogue” classes at Pure Funk Dance, Mondays 8PM to 9PM, showing what he's learned from the greats such as Akuma Diva (Taiwan), Chise Ninja (Japan), Karlee Misipeka (AUSTRALIA).

Although devoted to Vogue with a specific focus on (but not limited to) Hand Performance, Aki also has invested into his Waacking as well as Commercial choreography and Jazz Funk among others.
