Kara began her journey in dance at the age of 2 starting with Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Calisthenics. She then got involved with other performance styles such as Acrobatics, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Cheerleading and Samba as well as Singing and Circus.

 

She's competed in Calisthenics and dance competitions such as CASA, SASDS, CanDance, Showcase, AASCF, Winterfest, Battlegrounds, WSB and more. Kara has been in Tektonix Hip Hop Crew from 2016 - 2018, competing/performing gigs with them.

Kara discovered her passion for teaching dance at the end of primary school as an assistant teacher, later on becoming a teacher in the styles of Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Cheerleading and Acrobatics. In 2019 Kara is teaching Jazz and Contemporary at Pure Funk Dance hoping to spark innovation and creativity into her students so they can achieve their dance goals.
