Micaela Thomas is one of Adelaide’s most versatile hip hop dancers and teachers. She is a back-to-back state champion hip hop dancer with GroundBreakers crew, and is also a back-to-back state champion hip hop coach with BeatBreakers crew (Pure Funk Juniors).

 

Trained in a number of dance styles, Micaela has specialised in all areas of hip hop, commercial, urban and street styles since 2008. Micaela has worked with various artists, festivals and production companies, including work for film, television, corporate and charity events. Highlights include performing in shows in Hong Kong and ranking 8th in Australia with GroundBreakers crew.

 

As a freelance teacher of both music and dance, Micaela has taught at various schools and studios in Adelaide. Forever a student, Micaela regularly travels internationally to continue learning from the world’s best hip hop dancers. Highlights include learning from her mentors in Japan, Singapore and the Philippines. Micaela also has a Bachelor of Music, a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Languages. She is passionate about education, connecting with young people and sharing her love of the performing arts with others.
